Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable ??? created by the Reverend E. Cobham Brewer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brewer%27s_Dictionary_of_Phrase_and_Fable
The person who set this annual bluecoats quiz specifically asked that none of the questions be put on the internet since this defeats the whole object of the quiz & spoils it for others. Why then post this question.

///The AnswerBank is a questions and answers site, and as such we do not want to deter people from doing what the site is designed for. Therefore we do not remove questions, but we do remove posts in which users tell off other users for asking questions, because we want to keep the site amicable and make everyone feel welcome///

Baldric-I apologise if I have caused an upset on your site.It was not my intention to do so but merely to point out a specific request from the quiz setter because in the past this has been done with nearly all of the 100 questions appearing.I feel that I did this as politely as I could & in no way was I rude or complaining of SnowOwl.

The school has specifically asked for questions not to be put on the internet so it doesn't spoil it for others. Two years ago, someone asked for almost all the 100 answers which ruined the whole point of the traditional BC Xmas quiz for everyone who has paid to do it. What's the point of doing the quiz if you can't find the answers for yourself???
