Electric Blankets
38 Answers
Jeremy Vine is on the radio talking to people about electric blankets. Just wondered how many people actually use them and love them. Personally, I hate getting into a warm bed and never have trouble getting warmed up. I also don't like a warm bedroom. Trivial question really!!

I used to have an electric blanket that went under the bed sheet and I'd put it on the lowest setting about an hour before I got into bed. I haven't used it since pregnancy last year. I've also got a higher tog duvet which helps. I hate the cold but I can't stand wearing anything in bed either. Oh and I hate having the windows open in my bedroom, even in summer as I get a lot of noise coming in.
Mrs JtH, being part Shetland Pony, rarely feels the cold but I have prevailed and we took delivery of our first electric blanket a week ago.
I usually read for a while before I'm ready to settle down and sleep but have reached the point where my eyes are crossing within 2 or so pages because I'm so snuggly and warm. I also find it soothing on my back which I think clinched the argument for me ! :o)
