I have not gone away to make up daft figures. All you Nuclear zealots who think the price will not increase substantially in the years before this weaponry comes online are deluded.
All the Bile is directed to Corbyn, but Cameron and Osborne are doing the same as Blair and Brown did, and wimping out of kicking the decision into the long grass and NOT making any decision.

I would have thought the existing Trident missiles were destructive enough to deter a nuclear attack on us.
Now and for the foreseeable future, the only/greatest threat we seem to face is from Islamic extremists. Therefore, I'd divert the money from upgrading Trident to MI5/MI6, rapid (SAS style) reaction forces, kidnap resolution teams, tightening border security and deportation programmes.
But then, I work on building sites so what do I know. Sometimes we have to put our faith in people who ought to know what they're doing, don't we?
