I've got the Roxio VHS to DVD for iMac I've hooked it all up etc and still I've got no sound or picture, and clues to what I'm doing wrong? I've got OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 on mac

If it is the "Roxio Easy VHS to DVD" package that you have, there are some not so good product reviews on amazon that include issues with sound, might be worth reading:
