Free Credit File Check
12 Answers
Please can anyone recommend a company that does a free credit file check without it being tied to a 30 day free trial. I have looked at Experian but they have a thirty day free trial and I don't want to get into that.
Are these sites safe to use?
Thanks.

I am registered with Clearscore and have been since last november. It seems fine. They appear to make their money from finding subscribers offers for credit cards and so on but there is no pressure or continued emails. You have to give them your bank details and so on so they can make you a credit report but so far all fine.
Having looked at The Martin Lewis website, I decided to go with Experian. It is easy, he says, to unsubscribe from the 30 day trial with a freephone number to do so.
I am very impressed with the Experian site and I have found answers to some questions which I had about old credit cards and shop cards.
This is all to do with a PPI claim which I hope to make.
Thanks for your responses all of you.

O god there are a whole lead of numbskulls wondering if they should do the free one month offer
DON'T DO IT !
I have an advantage that I know they have to offer a £2 credit check and
...... they have to advertise it somewhere
and it is - if you go down to their home page
along with legal-contact us-privacy - the bottom most bar
you will find statuory check
try it and see
do the same for equifax
