i am in a real quandary i hate the tories, corbyn is a whack-job, lib dems have mainly disappeared, there is no chance with scot. nats & ukip can't get properly organised who the hell do i vote for? this country is in a real mess politically. we need a proper opposition, not one that intends to betray the falklanders, open the door to goodness knows who, completely mess-up the exchequer & leave us defenceless. maybe we need a well run independent centre-left grown-up party. can anybody give me some advice on my dilemna?

Wait until closer to a General Election to decide...
I'd start by putting my own interests before the Falklanders, but that's just my opinion.

Step one might be to figure out whether your own constituency MP is any good at pursuing the interests of local voters. If so, vote for him/her.
I feel the same as you Magpie, I am from a family of staunch Labour voters and have lost all inclination to give Labour my vote.
Cameron has no opposition at the moment and the Tory government are like a school room of 10 year olds with no teacher.
I agree Corbyn is a good protest politician and has made a career of it.
He preaches to the converted and they all love him.
May will be interesting when Scotland votes.
It's the SNP that need to be converted back to labour and I don't see that happening quickly.
Come 2020 I will vote Raving Looney. At the moment they seem to be the only party making sense lol
Vote for anybody magpie, as long as its not UKIP !
Why do you hate the Tories?
Protest vote......... Don't vote. Maybe eventually the politicians will accept that many people are very disenchanted by all political parties at this time.
I have exactly the same problem magpie !
Naomi.......Perhaps magpie thinks that the Tories are the Nasty Party ?

Just a thought !
Anneasquith...with respect, not voting at all is what millions of people already do, and what effect has it had ?.......Beggar all, as far as I can see.
Question Author
the one time that we have a say in the running of the country, the questions are always closed. do you want candidate 1,2,3 etc. the proposed EU membership referendum simply states: do you want to remain a part of the EU? what about the, i think majority, who want to revert to the EEC. the EU is a corrupt, money-draining monster which can't get its own books balanced, let alone audited. it is not content with one building to do it's business to appease the french it has to move once a month to a second site. we wouldn't tolerate it in a domestic parliament, why on earth should we in his case?
Magpie...you will have your chance to make your opinion heard pretty soon apparently !
Mikey,//Just a thought ! //

It would be rather refreshing if you actually gave anything just a thought instead of remaining resolutely entrenched in a philosophy that no longer exists and that few would want if it did. Move on, Mikey. Like your heroes you're living in the past.
A friend of mine deliberately wrote 'none of the above' across her ballot paper last election. At least it got registered as 'spoiled'. Just before I left for France I found myself disenfranchised because of exactly the situation you describe. I didn't vote - for the first time in my life. I still feel a bit guilty.

Agree that the country is in a political mess. Vote to get us out of Europe first and then maybe, just maybe, minds will become focused.
Just like you then Naomi ! You used to be a Labour voter, but now you support the Nasty Party....you must be very nostalgic !
Mikey, you're nothing like me. I was honest.
