These left wing apologists will make every manner of ludicrous comparisons in their bid to flood the UK with migrants.

If this MP is stupid enough to have this comment ready on Question Time then she should of provided the data to back her claim up.Can she tell us if West Midlands Police received 800 allegations of indecent assault and rape on Women on Broad street on New Years Eve. A ridiculous comparison from a stupid woman.

You don't think she was trying to suggest that the offences committed on New Year's Eve were totally unrelated to the cultural backgrounds of the perpetrators, then?
I think she was saying "Boys will be boys, sometimes very bad boys (as in this case). But under no circumstance conclude that European women are more at risk because of the migrants; and, most especially don't blame it on the cultural differences".
In other words she is doing what many do in face of the latest Muslim outrage: ignore the victims, but try to preserve the reputation of Islam.
That is certainly a reasonable interpretation of what she was saying.
Then you agree with me that she is wrong then?
But not a true interpretation, Jack.

As i have said, I didn't see the programme and so haven't decided whether greater weight should be given to her comments that some behaviour seems common the world over......or the fact that she seems oblivious to the particular set of circumstances arising in Cologne.

talbot - are you saying that you think I have misunderstood v-e, or that he has misunderstood Jess Phillips?
v.e. @ 1915
That is precisely how I see it and not only with respect to the Cologne outrage.
I'm saying that the MP has misunderstood the gravity of the happening on NYE here in Cologne. I can well understand the people of Birmingham getting upset at her comments.

What the average German seems to think is that the refugee/migrant has nothing to lose and therefore is capable of anything. (Well that is how the German people I have contact with feel)
Ah, yes, I see.
I'm not sure she did misunderstand although it may suit her purposes to downplay it.....
I went to the Cologne Carnival two years ago and had a great time, I'm not sure it is a wise move to go this time around. It is a sad state of affairs when going into a city like Cologne at such an event is now considered a high risk venture

Stupid ignorant woman should be asked to leave the labour party.
If Jess Paynr can downplay such serious assaults on western women, I fear for the safety of ours at Notting hill carnival.

Well my answer was given in today's paper. Apparenly 13 indecent assaults and rape in the Broad Street area since September 2015.Not good but to compare that with 800 in one evening in Cologne just demonstrates the twisted and warped logic of the Labour come one, come all agenda and shows total contempt towards her fellow women !!
Personally I find her just great as a Labour MP.

Just contributes adequately to demonstrating the unelectability of the party. Shows no ability to make decent judgements whatsoever.
^ Good point, dog. If anybody who wasn't utterly revolting represented them, the hard of thinking might start voting for them again.
The Literalist thought-police directing only in their speculative direction; an interesting anomaly.

Your analogy @18:52hrs jackthehat seems reasonable to me, perhaps analogy itself is only 'b*ingly obvious' with partisan approval ?

The 'b*ingly obvious' needs no elaboration but the speculative interpretation of another's intent becomes paramount?

What, and why is 'b*ingly obvious' ?

Patriarchy personified perhaps ?
vetuste - //I hope JacktheHat returns to the thread and answers my question about the point he thinks Ms. Phillips was trying to make.
Do you know where he's gone, Andy?//

jack is a lady vetuste - have a look at her avatar, that will give you a clue!
