I thought the One Show did a fantastic tribute to our Tel. The interview at the end by his friend Gay Byrne was really moving and Matt (?) the presenter was almost in tears. I think the phrase "national treasure" is bandied about too much, but I think Sir Terry truly was. I hope he realised how much he was loved and respected. Condolences to his family, RIP Terry.

Made me cry.

Before Andy comes in and says he got paid for children in need....I don't care. I thought he was hilarious on TV and the radio.

Jan 2016 has been a crap month...for 'stars' and for me personally.
I didn't see it but pleased they did a respectful tribute. My Condolences to his family also.
Nice to see a large contingent of TOGs there and a rare sighting of Lynne Bowles and Deadly Alincoat. (Agree with you ummmm, let's hope another thread doesn't get spoiled)
Radio 2 went for overkill though.

It was like an all day wake.

I had to tune away
I agree Ummm, so many have passed away recently... it truly saddens me... and find it unbelievable.
I thought it was fantastic and very moving Terry Wogan was a national treasure absolutely, a gentleman with a great sense of humour
I didn't see it, I'll watch later on iplayer.
I really enjoyed radio 2 yesterday, some lovely music, especially That'll Do and Elvis' laughing version of Are You Lonesome Tonight.
I thought this cartoon from the Telegraph (?) said it all...
