We were thoroughly conned in 1975, because we still trusted politicians to have principles and be honest. Never again. The whole thing is a fudge, of course, but DC is a clever man and has got people to focus on little bits which he thinks he can colour, instead of yelling about sovereignty and inconvenient stuff like that.

It is over 30 years ago that I scared a Tory canvasser from my doorstep by yelling at him that everything was immaterial as long as we remained in the EU. I lived in France a long time, I love Europe but I hate the EU and want out, a.s.a.p. and by any means.

DC is a Ted Heath clone . We were conned then ( 1975 ) and DC is doing it again . DC doesn't want a referendum . He was forced into this one . We have waited 30+ years to get this one and every year the EU noose has been getting tighter. DC has asked for very little and has been offered less , and that will be whittled down even more when the other nations have their say.
