Just letting you kind souls who wondered how we are after my son's death. Well.... We're not too bad considering. His funeral was last Friday and he would've been so proud. He was a member of the UK Garrison (Star Wars) and donned his stormtrooper armour to help raise thousands of pounds for charity. His coffin was Star Wars based and 3 stormtroopers marched him into the crem. Before he died he told me that he didn't have a friend in the world, he'd have been shocked to know how many people turned up to say goodbye and that they loved him. Thank you all again for your kindness xxx
Masma...as one Mother to another, I send you nothing but good thoughts.
I hope that time smoothes the edges off your raw grief and that you find peace.
Wishing you well. xx :o)
Masma, I have been thinking of you since your last post. I should think you rightly felt proud of your son and hope the presence of so many mourners warmed you and your family. My very best wishes to you, take care.
Masma, I didn't see your post about your son, but I want to give you my condolences. As a mother, myself, I can't bear to imagine what you're going through. It's great that he was so loved, but how sad that he didn't know it. Xxx take care
masma -I didn't see your original post, sorry. We have gone through the 'ordeal'/'turmoil'? of losing an adult child. OH's daughter died aged just 50 nearly 5 years ago. She had been a nurse.
You must be so proud of your son, as we are of Alison. It is always the 'wrong way round' but after this elapse of time we have emerged whole and can even talk about her. You will find the same thing, but there will always be a hole - shaped like your son. You can be proud and learn to live with the emptiness, I promise. You are on the right lines by celebrating his life.
You have our love and genuine understanding and sympathy. xx
As the Mum of a son, I can feel your pain masma. What a fabulous send off he had and I sincerely hope he knows that he was loved. Bless you, dear lady xxx
Oh yes Viv he knew I loved him as he did me, we told each other most day's.
Anne - our grandson is indeed a comfort my son loved him dearly, a love that was returned ten fold. He tells everyone that Uncle Masey has gone to live in heaven.
Thank you once again everyone for your kindness xxx
