Winning the league depends if Leicester get any injuries.

I run a lot of Fantasy football teams so keep a close eye on who is playing and who is not for most premier teams.

For the last dozen games Leicester have been able to play the same set of players.

Man C on the other hand have got injuries to Kompany, Mangala, De Bryune, Nasri, Navas, Bony and a few others (and Silva was injured today) - p.s. I know they have a bigger squad.

I am not making excuses for Man C, just pointing out that Leicester have been mighty lucky with injuries.

If Leicester got just three injuries - say Vardy, Mahrez and Schmiecal, it would totally ruin their changes of winning the league.

p.s. Dont get me wrong I would love to see Leicester win the league, they have played fantastic all season and it has been great to see them beat Liverpool last week and Man C this week, and not by luck but by being the better team.

They just need to avoid the injuries,

It is not the people who go through the turnstiles that pay the wages.

It is the huge amount of money they get from TV all over the world.

It is thought that some top Premier matches - Man C v Man U or Chelsea v Arsenal for example - can get as many as a billion TV viewers all over the world.

THAT is what is paying the huge wages, not the punter gong through the door.

A valid point has just been raised, If the fans are not paying or contributing to the wage bill, why do clubs use wages as a reason for raising ticket prices.

Davemano - Liverpool are at the start of a multi million pound ground improvement and that has to be paid for. I think it cost Arsenal about £600 million pound to build their new ground.

Also it costs money just to own and run the ground (rates, security, admin staff) as well as the extra costs on match day (police, stewards, extra staff etc.)

I think much of the money the punters pay for the tickets goes towards just running the club itself, it is the TV money that gives the money to pay the transfer fees and the salaries.

I didn't appreciate that all clubs get TV money, but al monies go onto the same pot.
