Perhaps Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan, you should stop them entering your country in the first place?

The Turks already have 2.5 million.
Like jno says, the real villains here are the people causing the situation which has left thousands more trying to escape into that country from Syria.
Turkey has closed its border for now to all but seriously ill refugees.
There is a serious lot of negotiations going on between Turkey and the EU, and have been for some time. Turkey wants money from the EU to help it cope. The reasoning being, and it seems fair enough, that they simply can't cope any more, but with extra money they can accommodate these people and stop so many of them being forced fuirther west. Meanwhile the butchers of Amman and Moscow laugh and keep on killing.

Finally common sense and the inevitable appears to be happening;

They may not have "idiot" on their forehead, but is the "word" irresponsible" there ?
One does not prevent genuine refugees fleeing violence so stopping them entering is immoral.
One could argue the toss whether Turkey needs to prevent refugees from leaving camps near the border. But since the agreed rules are that refugees are to flee to the nearest safe country then the responsibility on the refugee is to stay put, thankful that they are safe; and the responsibility of the country they are in is to cope, not rely on passing the problem on.
Strictly speaking the country refugees are leaving Turkey for, should simply not accept them, as they are then illegal immigrants; and send them back to Turkey.
For sure it is fair to help out a country in need as appropriate. I have no issue with charity being offered to help the refugees in Turkey, but it's still their responsibility to provide a viable camp for the refugees until it is safe for them to return home.

Do you actually understand what is going on AOG?
ISIS is not the target of the bombing which is forcing people out of Syria.
One of the worst wars in recent years, causing the displacement of millions into Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon etc. These countries HAVE said enough is enough, but as someone has already pointed out, once in those countries, why should those countries NOT let them go? As it happens Jordan, Turkey etc have done their utmost to be accommodating, but Jordan in particular has reached crisis point. These countries need help or it is hardly surprising if they (a) close their borders, or (b) don't bust a gut to stop them moving on.
If the Calais migrants arrived en masse from France, would you want to stop them moving on to Iceland if they could? I suspect not, somehow :-)

We're at quite a dangerous place I think.
People decry the EU and the evils of the Schengen zone etc but I can only imagine how much worse it would be if there was no EU. The refugees would still come, and each country would simply pass them on through to the next country.
There'd be no common policy or attempt at such, and no common interest.
It's ironic that the EU is derided as "dictatorial" and "weak" at the same time.

Er no, AOG, try and turn your focus from articles about IS just for a few moments. You can always go back to it. Meanwhile:

Plenty more where that came from, but not sure I should be wasting my time telling you what's been on the news constantly for days, nay weeks and months. Do you not watch the news, or read the papers other than articles about Polish lorry drivers etc ...
Sorry to appear rude, but one does wonder ...
