What Does It Mean?
7 Answers
I recently had to go for a gastroscopy to see if it would show why I'm anaemic.
Today I received a report from the consultant which says that biopsies taken from the lining of my stomach show signs of chemical burning.
What does it mean?
The consultant has said she doesn't need to see me again but has sent a report to my GP.
Many thanks.

I think they call 15mg a maintenance dose?? I personally don't suffer with indigestion or re-flux etc but have carried on with the Lansoprasole for no particular reason really.
Can I take it though, that the Gastritis has nothing to do with me being anaemic?.

I don'y know what kind of anaemia you have, but generally speaking you can assume that your gastroscopy has ruled out any stomach cause of your anaemia.
I suppose that you could try to stop taking Lansoprazole and see what happens, but inform your GP first.
