Does anyone here understand the ubuntu system on a mobile phone. I don't which is why this q probably sounds disjointed. I wish to buy a bq phone made in Spain. It says ubuntu running Android. So I think its something like firefox or chrome do you think? I have Google but completely muddled in the process. Thank you.

Don't worry about it being ubuntu - it will perform like any other Android phone. You'll be able to use Chrome, Firefox and other browsers such as Opera and Vivaldi on it.

Had a samsung Note 3 which was only 5 months old but just died and cant be mended. Daughter bought it in Dubai and I never got the receipt.

I don't know that make at all, and it seems a lot of money if it is not well known.
But the specs look good and the dual sim will probably be very useful for you.

From the Amazon link in Spain it is running Android 4 (Kit Kat) and the latest Android phones are on Android 6 (Marshmallow).

Juat completely died. One shop couldnt mend it so another is looking for me.

Just had a message saying it's the placa basica which is broken on note 3. Translate as baseplate? So I will defo be buying this bq aquarius E6.
It should be ok just for general usage, ie whatsapp, FB, AnswerBank filmon.com etc?

Hc I have bought the bq phone today, seems fine to me, does absolutely everything I ask of it . Nice big 6" screen so typing is easier, well pleased at the moment although sad to lose my Samsung which I loved!

I'm pleased for you. Is it running Android Kit Kat? Will it update to Lollipop?

android 4.4, but Im not bothered about upgrading, just hope to keep a phone that works longer than 5 months!!
