Insufficient Storage On A Sony L Phone.
5 Answers
I have a Sony L phone. when I first received it, it had a number of Apps already loaded on it, most that I have never used.
The problem I now have is the fact that I can't update any of those I use, or add others, because I keep getting the message that the phone doesn't have enough space consider deleting apps or content that you no longer need.
Has anyone any idea what I can do to gain more space, thank you.

I have a similar issue on my phone (not a Sony though, hence being a bit vague). Photos (and especially videos) seem to take up a fair bit of room so I tend to transfer them to my laptop when I'm running out of space.
You could also try clearing things like browser history.
Is there any kind of external storage facility that you can use, like Cloud for Apple?
I hope you get it sorted, it is a pain.

Have you taken any photos or videos with it, if so you can copy those to another devices then delete them off the phone.
Or have you any music or films / video on there, you can delete them as well.
If it is an Android phone there is an option in the settings to see what is using all your memory.
Problem is if it is an 8gb phone when you get it new Android itself and some of the apps can take 5Gb or 6Gb of memory so you don't have much left.
If your phone can take an SD card you can put on of those in to get more memory.

You don't mention which model of phone, but both the Sony Xperia L C2105 and the Sony Xperia L C2104 have Micro-SD card slots that allow you to increase the Storage by 32 GB.
Depending on the version of Android you are running, you may be able to move some apps and photos, etc to the external storage.
While disabling an app may reduce the amount of data storage it requires, the app itself will still be taking up space.

Thank you all for your answers, yes I have a SD card and have transferred all my photos and music to that and still have room for more, but I don't think one can transfer Apps to that, can one?
