Can anyone help, I have been watching Andre Rieu live in New York,
While he was playing Frank Sinatra's "My Way" the cameras fixed on a well known person in the audience, for the live of me I can't think of his name,do you know who it is PLEASE ?? its driving me mad.

This is Michel Sardou who sang My Way (in French) but I'm still not convinced if it's the guy in the Andre Rieu clip. What do you think?

His hair is the same, and he does have a connection to the song but looking at recent videos of him, he's had work done on his face and he looks more like Barry Manilow.This is him singing My Way. The guy at the beginning is Claude Francois.

Barsel, your No.2 clip of Michel Sardou is more like the man in the audience, and I think your shout is right.
It's not Joey Bishop (deceased), as suggested in a Facebook dialogue, nor composer Jacques Revaux, judging by this clip:

Hi Wolf, no FB thread as such. I think I got there via Youtube. I scrolled down a string of FB comments on the HY concert. Someone suggested Bishop, denied by a reply in Spanish (which included a naughty word about the Rat Pack activities). My link crashed before I could scroll deeper. Maybe someone could ask Andre on FB, attaching the link. He'd be bound to know, as there surely must have been a backstage meeting before or after.

I think it's Paul Anka who wrote the lyrics, the tune is from the french, "Comme d'habitude".
I personally find this rendition awful.

Reveaux too thin-faced. Anka hasn't enough hair. Sardou still seems best fit as a lookalike and he does have some link with the song.
We can probably rule out the suggested guys who are deceased ... because ghosts don't show up on photographs, do they? Or ... do they? (Cue Andre to play theme from Twilight Zone.)
