Finland won (the guys in the goulish make up) and UK can 19th out of 25.

Finland were brilliant. Fair dos. I was rooting for em all the way, followed by Lithuania (funny as hell there song was a football style chant of we are the winners of eurovision, I think they were trying to subtly push us into voting them) and Latvia sang with a homemade robot.

I thought they well and truly sucked. I can accept the novelty of having a band dressed up like this but as for the song itself it was appaling.

shame Daz sampson looked so silly in the yellow jacket, his arms flailing about. He deserved better though.

Sunflower, I don't think you're supposed to actually like the song. I don't, but I think they were brilliant. What a send-up! What a splash in the eye for all those uptight euro-purists who purse their lips and say, "but you can't do that." And they did. They went out and did just that. They've said, by their entry, what lots of people have been thinking for years, and shown Eurovision for the farce it has become.

Wasn't Terry Wogan's pithy commentary hilarious !! I sat here in fits of laughter. Just the odd word here and there, the RIGHT word. It's hardly a song contest anymore, it's a comedy, and I think it knows it too.

Exactly....its become a joke how "pretty" the euro contest has become and for some reason I absolutely love it. Of course I dont like that sort of music, I am indie chic through and through and noone will ever compare to the loverly JAmes, noone!!

I think I would be correct in saying Russian got 220 points higher than the UK.However Ireland did quite well and they are the same as you anyway.
