So, it's a leap year and for some reason that permits the fairer of the species to step up and propose to their beau!

Have any lady ABers proposed and did you save it up for 29/2?

At his hint I proposed to my OH via e-mail on 29 Feb 2000. He replied with Yes in a huge font. Then we didn't get married until 2014!!

My first venture into matrimony started out on February 29th 1972 when in a weakened moment I said 'yes' to her proposal. Jeez what was I thinking of to take on board her and all her overbearing parents and siblings.
Still I was 23 she was 25 and we had some laughs but it was doomed to fail, and it did. Then I eventually met MrsJanz and I haven't looked back since, thank the Lord.

The origins are quite interesting Eccles! Apparently, people born on February the 29th are known as leaplings .. or leapers. In non leap years many 'leaplings' choose to celebrate their birthday on either February the 28th or March the 1st whilst purists stick to the 29th! That's a long time to wait for your next birthday!

long bit on R4 on the bisextile which is a doubled 6th day before the first of March and that explains why the leap year is celebrated on 24th for a lot of countries....
does anyone know if they have a 24a and 24b ?
