Windows 10 Repair Disk
My elderly dad has a PC that was custom built to his own specifications about 10 years ago. I am not sure about which version of Windows it was using but it was 32 bit. Since then he has installed a 64 bit system and it was running Windows 10 very well until this week.
When it started up, for some reason it always gave the option of Windows 10 or Windows 7 which was no longer installed. My dad tried to get it to boot it up without the Windows 7 option but now it will not run any programme. He can only get as far as the boot manager or the set up page and no further.
I tried to make a Windows repair disk on a blank DVD but when put into my dad's PC it just came up with disk error and would not run.
Should I have used a blank CD or is there somewhere I have gone wrong? I am not a techie but have heard of data CDs and wonder if this is what I should have made. To be honest, I don't have a fecking clue what to do now. HELP!!
