My explanation is that I am no longer a resident in the UK and take advantages of all the social aspects of Spain.....so why should the UK get it?

Spain uses the money received from the net contributors of the EUssr (us)
to bribe our ex pats to live, and therefor spend the pensions paid from UK pension funds, in Spain.

Good luck to you sqad. Any of us should take advantage of any legal tax breaks that come our way - and I'm sure that many who call you selfish would do exactly the same in your position (rather than gift money to the Spanish government that it did not ask for, for example).

The referendum is a Tory party policy. The Tory party was voted in by the electorate. It seems to me that anybody who could vote in the UK general election last year (to have a referendum or not) should also have a vote in the referendum - otherwise they become disenfranchised.
