Was it inappropriate ? Passionate, and perhaps not very persuasive, but some subjects result in high emotion especially when one believes an opponent is lying and one has no opportunity to state that opinion directly. My opinion of folk drops much further if they use childish insults like, "potty mouth", than if they call, "***", where it's found.
I think Mr Speaker should have sanctioned the Honourable gentleman immediately.
If Mr Speaker hears un-parliamentary language from where he sits, then other Honourable Members of the House, and the TV microphones hear it as well.
The idea of 'not drawing attention to it ...' is ludicrous, that is what Mr Speaker is there for!!
