Is it just me that cant see the funny side of this bloke.

I have tried in the past to watch him, gave it 10min last week, but just don't see anything funny about his act.

He kind of stares and whispers at the camera, and he apparently has won comedy awards.

Not everybody likes everything, but he's worth sticking with.

Well I have given it another 15mins, and feel the same, not funny at all

No wonder he is hardly seen on the TV channels or the Apollo.
Maybe too much of his act goes straight over your head?
I've stopped even mentioning the fact I like him to friends and family, they were in danger of pulling a neck muscle as they shook their heads in dismay.

If you mean I don't understand his humour Talbot, I can assure you I have a great sense of humour in all walks of life.

And below, you will find one of the many reviews, when he did a gig in London.

He's a smug, lardy-arsed ***.
Ditto, people who pretend to find him funny.
The bile harvest is a bit thin, in this thread. Last year's one went to at least three pages, didn't it?

I like him. He is very funny. Thanks for letting us know about his show being on TV again.
His whole 'act' seems to consist of poking fun at people he perceives as being less intelligent than him. ie. people who don't find him hilarious. Of course, this premise only works with an equally smug audience who are 'in on the joke'.
No great surprise that this site is full of such ubermensch.
Look at the way Daily Mail /Tabloid readers are scoffed at, usually by The Guardian reading 'elite'. (now, that is funny)
I found myself laughing out loud the first time I had seen in at the Apollo. His dry humour takes you by surprise. I've seen worse out there!
Good grief Svejk, I'm in a quandary now. I don't know whether to be proud of my newly discovered uber status or offended by the categorisation.

It's only humour, if you don't find it funny leave others to enjoy, and calm doon.
I enjoyed, if that's the right word, the first half of his show last night. Then he seemed to run out of steam, or was it me?
Trt, for balance, here's a very different review by the same person of essentially the same Stewart Lee show, later in the season: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/comedy/comedy-reviews/10460938/Much-A-Stew-About-Nothing-Leicester-Square-Theatre-review.html

Surprising what a bit of that paper stuff in your hand can do for your career!

Spot on svejk!
