thinking of getting a 7.5 tonne mobile crane but cannot find this answer
is a operators licence needed for a 7.5 tonne mobile crane and does it need to be taxed
have enough room to park it in back garden.

Mobile plant doesn't need a goods' vehicle operator's licence. There is also no road tax payable.

However regularly parking a commercial vehicle on domestic premises would almost certainly require planning permission for 'change of use'.

7 1/2 Tonne is max you drive without HGV parking will bea problem though
