Has anybody read this recent release? It's fantastic. The author joined the Armed Forces aged 23 and served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This work of fiction is told by forty-five objects including boots, helmet, drone, bag of fertlizer, medal, medical implements etc etc.

It's about one mans fight for survival and those around him.

I saw him talking about it Breakfast time a couple of weeks ago and thought it sounded interesting, I'll get a copy. Thanks for the info.
Sounds very good idea. They all play their part in a different role with a story to tell. Will look out for that. As a matter of interest was the bag of fertlizer an I.E.D. ?
Have another spell in the krankenhaus next week. Post Op reading matter.

MargoTester - shame I missed that.

Retrocop - Yes an IED. Hope all goes well for you.

I've acquired one of only 500 limited edition signed, stamped and dated copies in a slipcase!
Sounds a very interesting read ag.

Good luck next week Retrocop.
Thanks ag.
Favoured I.E.D. of PIRA in the early days until Gadaffi gave them semtex. Fertlizer contained ammonium nitrate mixed with other nasty mix.
Question Author
Mamya - it's great. Not an angle that you would expect a story to be told but really does bring the story to life!

Retro - yes, I'm sure the Omagh bomb in '98 was made from fertilizer mix.

You don't need to have any interest in the military to find it compelling.
Question Author
Retrocop - nearly finished this now.

Sure to be a big success!
