How does the virtual reality work and make the user feel a part of the game in the software

You mean pop the goggle box on your head? It presents two images, one to each eye. They're of the same scene, just from slitghtly different viewing angles. This mimics the way you see a natural scene, your eyes are a few inches apart, so see a scene from different angles. This Binocularism allows your brain to work out a '3D' view of a scene.

A few years back virtual reality games were going to be the next best thing to sliced bread.However it was found that wearing the headgear gave motion sickness after five minutes!

Grandson devastated, his other GF gave him a new VR unit which he's discovered he can't use. apparently you either have to have perfect vision or, you wear contact lenses. Of course he wears specs!!
