Yeah I need some help for all you really good algebra people. I have this problem and I really forget how to do it. I am not quite sure if it is Science, but here it is. The length of a rectangle is 2 feet more thatn twice the width. The perimeter is 34 feet. Find the dimensions of the rectangle. If someone could give me the equation for that, that would be a great help. Thanks!

So I have 2 other questions that I am not sure about so if you wish try them: 1. Write as an equation: The sum of y and the cube of n is 6 less than the square of v. 2. This is a proportion: 7/9 = x+3 / 4-x
Anyone who can solve that I need help!!!
Q1 is a case of translating the the words into mathematical notation.
The first half of the eqn is y + n =
(... complete the other half)
Q2 needs both sides of the eqn to be multiplied by the denominators thus
9 * (4 - x) * 7/9 = 9 * (4 - x) * (x + 3) / (4 - x)
7 (4 - x) = 9 (x + 3)
(... work through to find x)
