I caught a bit of it, when it showed what an pain he can be to his staff.

He admitted he wouldn't like to work for himself.

I sometimes wonder if the staff think Supervet is the right description.

Why, is he being rude to them?

Not particularly rude, but when he's operating he does tend to snap and order them about. Time is of the essence and he hasn't got time for niceties - I think his staff understand that.
