We have a Brother laser printer, has anybody got/had any views/experiences on whether it's safe to use toner that are other than the dedicated Brother ones pls ? I don't want to cause any malfunctions by being frugal !! TIA

I refilled my 'unrefillable' samsung cartridge by removing the plug in the filler hole and filling it with generic toner powder. It worked perfectly.

I've used non-HP cartridges in my HP colourjet for years.
