If asked for a percentage then the answer is 50. It isn't 0.5 (i.e. 0.5%).
I don't watch the chase regularly but aren't they choosing between options ? I'm surprised "half" was an option. Seems a bit provocative.

Two types of question: multiple-choice, and quickfire round. I suspect this was a quickfire question.

Seen this episode and thought she should have been given correct until Bradley explained that he asked for what percentage, so seemed fair to me.

this happens all the time on the Chase in the quick fire rounds. they often mix up the context of the answers especially geographical ones. eg Q: in what counrty is mount Fuji? A: Japanese, wrong! etc etc sometimes even the chaser falls into those traps.
