I have just disposed of 10 years' worth of paperwork. I am left with a shed load of ring binders from the small ones to the arch leaver type. I dont need these - I have more folders than I can shake a stick at. Would a charity be interested? I cant imagine they would be. Seems a shame to chuck them out. Any ideas?

I've seen them in some charity shops. (Indeed I've even bough one or two from charity shops). It tends to be the smaller, independent charity shops that take them though, rather than likes of Oxfam (where anything that doesn't look brand new rarely makes it to the shelves).
Local school?

We only have OXFAM near here. I'll be damned if I am trogging them all the way into town.

Frugalfred - good idea. 3 schools near here.
Offer them on Streetlife, BM?...x
Offer them on Freegle or Freecycle. School or college students always need them
I agree with Crazy Cat Man

We have a couple of small charity shops in town that sell used things that the bigger shops would throw out. One of ours raises money for a cat rescue place.

Oxfam (and the others) are 'big business' these days.

freecycle.org

Please put them on there. There will be a group for your local area. The rules are that anyone can respond and ask for any reason. It's up to you who you give them to and they have to collect.
I love freecycle. Nice people need things that I don’t need and come to me to collect them....best story ever was when I freecycled some of my late DH’s nearly new biking gear. lady responded about boots for her husband....appears he had left his in the conservatory to dry and their cat had wee’d in one...I still smile.
