Try

-Barber Adagio for Strings

-Bach Air On A G String

A canon in music is something that kinda starts to repeat itself before it stops.

Composers of Canons
Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn and hundreds of composers you've probably never heard of - like Titelouze.

If you like Pachelbel's Canon, I would suggest:

Bach's Air on a G String - certainly along similar lines if you're looking for something of that kind of pace.

Beethoven's 6th Symphony (the 'Pastoral' Symphony) - the perfect accompaniment to a Sunday morning, especially the stunningly beautiful final movement.

Smetana's Vltava - part of his tone poem, Ma Vlast (although as the best known part, it should be quite easy to find on a classical compilation)

Dvorak's New World Symphony (the Largo movement) - to those of us over 30, it may conjure up memories of TV ads for Hovis :-), but it's rather lovely nonetheless.
Pavane by Faure - this was used for the BBC's World Cup '98 theme tune.
You need to get Nefeli by Einaudi - I play it on the piano and its beautiful Kate

Do you like Modern Classics? Mark O'Connor, fiddler and composer, has a great CD out called Mark O'Connor- The Fiddle Concerto (with orchestra).
