There are reports on line and in press, prompted by a whistle blower, that the EU Court of Justice(a misnomer if ever I saw one), invented a backlog of cases in order to double the number of judges fron 28 to 56. Costing a mere £23.8million a year. Britain voted against it but guess what?? Correct, over ruled. If you think the EU experiment is mad now, just wait and see what is coming. 3 Years ago Cameron warned that without fundamental and far reaching change, the EU would leave us weaker not stronger. After his failure to negotiate the changes, what changed to make him such a fan of remaining locked in and subject to EU control. Perhaps a factor may be that the company his father set up moved its headquarters to Ireland prior to him taking office. If we vote out does this give him problems in the future when no longer PM, in that he has to deal with a EU country to access any 'funds' held there?

Orwell is an ex-employee of the BBC.
While at the BBC he wrote propaganda aimed at the Indian subcontinent. That experience inspired a lot of the book 1984.
Apparently idea to have the statue at the BBC was an outside one. It is paid for by private donations. A similar request several years ago, was rejected.
