Yet again ... bonkers renewal quote (bike this time)

Quick blast on "Go Confuse the Meerkat" ... quotes of around £65 less - 40% less than the renewal quote.

Ring original broker - magically the price is reduced to same level (and excess halved while we were at it).

It just all seems pointless now - they must know we'll check, so why not give us the proper quote in the first place?

Having said all that, a few pennies over £100 to for fully comp insurance of one of the fastest road bikes currently made seems very reasonable - perhaps I radiate "old git who won't push it to hard" when I talk to people ...

I've just had exactly the same experience with holiday car hire. I've always used holidayautos (who are themselves a broker). I found the car I wanted then went to travelsupermarket just for comparison who sent me through to the holidayautos website with eactly the same car £50 cheaper. I had 2 identical tabs open with just a different price. Unbelieveable.
I rang hol/autos as I was peed about it and they just said go with the lower price, we'll honour it.

That time for me also, Dave ( car ), looks like I'll be consulting the Confused Meerkat to.

My house insurance renewal was up by almost £100......searched Confused...not that I want another scary toy....and noted the better quotes...

Phoned M&S...said I thought the quote was too high and before I could say what I'd found on Confused they offered me a really good "loyalty" discount... better than any other quote.....

Don't think I'll even bother with Confused.....dread getting more messages from their Brian.....☺
