Should I buy an XBox 360 or wait for the Playstation3?

Just wondering if I should buy an XBox 360 or wait for Sony's Playstation3? Does anyone have any positive or negitive feedback on the Xbox 360?

I was waiting for the PS3 until it got delayed again so I bought the 360 a few months ago. I'm very impressed with it and currently addicted to FIFA 2006! I'm not normally a gamer sort of person but it's good for filling in boring free time.

Technically the PS3 will be superior to the 360. But the PS3 will be using the new cell processor, and I've heard many reports that it's more difficult to code for, and more hassle than the 360. So the games won't actually seem any better at all, at least not for a year or two.

I think you should go for the one that has the games on that you want to play. Many are buying the 360 for Halo3 alone when it's released.

Does the Wii not entice you with its unique control system?

Is the Wii the new Nintendo console? I would probably avoid Nintendo as I have found in the past that most of the games for their consoles are targeted towards a young audience.

I agree with your point there on nintendos target audience, but the Wii is reported to have a launch price of �133. how much do you think ps3 will launch at?

i own a 360 and am not one of these people who is a fanboy of a certain console....except i wouldnt buy nintendo for the reasons mentioned above.

the ps3 will be superior to the 360 but that extra power comes at a steep cost ie �425(�145 more expensive) for the 60 gig version as the 20 gig version wont be released over here apparently.

also bear in mind that the ps3 is aimed at true hd tv's that run 1080p defintition,if youre tv isnt of this genre then there will be noticable difference at all apart from to your bank balance !

if i didnt already own a 360,the pricing of the ps3 would have made my mind up for me ie i would still buy a 360 as for the price of a ps3 i can get a 360 + 3 games.bear in mind that the games prices have not yet been announced for the ps3 and as they are on a brand new format(blu ray) they will surely cost more.�60 each would be my guess.

Also note as well that bluray will not be successful. Sony proprietary stuff very rarely is.
