I'd quit while your'e ahead
I have, 20 years ago. Bought them from a farmer's market stall and all six were double yolks. Went back week after week but sadly never again. There is an explanation for it but I can't remember it.
That's gonna be one hell of an omelette!
Call me silly but i couldn't eat an egg with a double yolk - it just doesn't feel right .

It's like a chicken with three legs

Eggsactley gingejbee! I'm quite eggcited, Bazile you won't put me off I'm going to enjoy my eggstra large omelette
My Nan used to say there's going to be twins in the family if there was a double yoke after cracking an egg. Goodness, but not six! Surely?......

I used to keep chickens and we quite often had double yolkers, at the local market you could buy double yolkers any time, but they did charge a bit extra. The eggs can be scanned with a candler to detect them.
When this happened to me I had cracked three eggs to make an omelette. It did me for three meals.
i always have my eggs from the farm and I have 1 Dozen extra large and mostly all double yoked every time .
funnily enough, reading my link, it would appear that you have more chance of finding 6 double-yolkers in a box of half a dozen than just one.
Apparently jackdaws take other birds eggs

Do you engage in that activity Jackdaw ?
Not me. I just steal shiny objects, to which my avatar will attest. One of my favourite poems:

What's that - flippin war and peace :-)

I'll have a read later
I seem to recall reading that double yolkers come from young hens when they first start laying.
Ahhhh...it looks like Jackdaws link confirms that.
What are this week's lottery numbers please?
I bought a box of extra large eggs from the supermarket recently (it's all they had) and all were double yoked. I assumed at the time that something about the double yoke made the egg grow bigger.
