a thread over the weekend (now consigned to the second page of obscurity) concerned channel 4 reporter Assem Baig and some comments he aired in his twitter account. it's said that taking anyone to task over a twitter remark amounts to thought police-ism and mr Baig was rightly not disciplined by his employer for remarks that were entirely personal.

well, here's another case of twitter coming back to haunt the writer 3 years after the event, but in this case, the result is very different, ie suspension by the political party and what probably amounted to an invitation to resign:-

Why is this case different to Mr Baig's - a twitter comment is personal, right?

One is a news reporter and has been reprimanded by his employer, C4; the other is a councillor for the labour party who made comments that are clearly against labour policy.

Perhaps she is Corbyn's sacrificial lamb, to deflect criticism of his very own track record, regarding anti-semitic utterances and alliances.

She should not need to resign for her personal view but it is further evidence of the ingrained anti Semitism in Labour.

Mr Corbyn says he hasn't got a racist bone in his body, and I believe him. but he does appear to give free rein to those who express beliefs that one might expect to give them policy issues......

It may be, that it is not what says, but what he avoids saying on such matters mushroom. His close links with for instance Hamas, are well documented.

I agree with TTT.

We can now see clearly what many of us have known for years. Labour, especially the luvvies, have always been pro Hamas and so anti Jew. I have always found that odd since many of these are the first people to yell Racist at people like me.

I've not read the comments made by Baig but the comments made by this Labour councillor (In the OP's bbc link) are disgusting. Labour have a serious problem with anti-Semitism (specific racism) and it appears unchallenged by most.
