I haven't been able to access yahoo mail.

Is there a problem? or is it just me?

How do I reconnect please. Have googled but can't see how to solve this

Would depend on what's wrong. We don't know what your experience is, what warning came up, how you were trying to access it, etc..

When I type in my user name and password it says they are incorrect.
They are correct though. When it says - forgotten password - it gives a link to my mobile or other email address. As i Don't have another email address thats no use and it says it doesn't recognise my mobile

Yahoo mail usually comes up automatically on my ipad but it isn't updating and says cannot access mail

Lots of people are reporting problems with Yahoo Mail

so the problem might clear itself after a while.

However Yahoo and Hotmail (now Outlook.com) have always had bad reputations for locking people out of their email accounts (often with no way back) and I certainly wouldn't trust either of them. Get your self a decent email account!

Spam filters sometimes need a little help to decide what is, and isn't spam. (After all, maybe you actually want to receive those emails offering to enlarge your manhood!).

If you find a 'wanted' email in your Spam folder, click on it to open it and then click on 'Not Spam'. GMX will move the message to your Inbox and, importantly, 'whitelist' the sender, so that future mail from them is no longer directed to the Spam folder.

You can also 'whitelist' (and 'blacklist') email addresses and domains manually by clicking on 'Settings' at the bottom left of the page (and then on 'Whitelist' or 'Blacklist').

By default, Spam items are kept for 30 days, so anything that accidentally goes into your Spam folder isn't going to disappear quickly; you'll still have plenty of time to spot it. You can change the default storage times for folders, if you wish, by going to 'Settings' and then to 'Folder Overview'.

There are other features available from 'Settings' that you might care to explore, such as the Autoresponder facility (which lets you automatically acknowledge all incoming mail, perhaps with a message to say [for example] that you'll be away from your desk for a few days).
