Can I Transter An Existing Stakeholder Pension To Another Provider?

I have had a stakeholder pension for a few years now, my original provider has changed over the passed few years, from M&S to HSBC and now to my current provider. Ive just had my statement from the new provider & its lost so much, something Ive been lucky enough not to experience from my previous providers.
Can I switch providers?

Depending on the date of the valuation it could simply be that it reflects the big fall in the FTSE index which fell from 7000 to around 5600 over a fairly recent period, so it may be that the same loss could have occurred under another provider

It depends, is it a Company defined contributions scheme? You will probably need to get independent advice. If it is a Company Scheme you could lose Life insurance cover which may be included.
The Pension Advisory Service may be a good place to start.

Stakeholder pensions are forbidden from having additional charges such as transfer, MVA, etc.
Not every provider will accept a transfer in.
