While you people are busy flogging the flag issue, I'm busy enjoying brilliant sunshine and 22 degrees. In fact I'm enjoying it so much, I might traipse o'er the field and imbibe a wobbly-pop or five.

Does your wife tie a rope around you and then reel you home for your dinner?

Question Author
Of course not: she sends Bensomemum, the butler, in the Bentley to collect me.
Is Bensomemum Japanese?

I have heard that the Benso family came across to Toronto in the 1st World War and were famous for setting up knicker (US = panties) washing laundries....
Question Author
Bensomemum was the name of the butler in the movie "Murder By Death". A really funny movie with an all-star cast.
Enjoy your boozing. I thought you were snowed in all year round in Canada.

Enjoy !!!

Doesn't explain the family heritage as to being in Ontario.....
Question Author
It's not "boozing", wolf63. I have been called to the bar in order to imbibe a few libations with my illustrious cohorts. Here is the cast in that movie I mentioned:
Eileen Brennan
Truman Capote
James Coco
Peter Falk
Alec Guinness
Elsa Lanchester
David Niven
Peter Sellers
Maggie Smith
Nancy Walker
Estelle Winwood
stuey, one of the funniest films ever made.
Question Author
Great, wasn't it!
Jamesir Bensonmum, Alec Guinness wasn't it?
Maggie Smith is the greatest. I don't know if the TV series Downton Abbey has been shown in Canada, but if it is you must not miss Dame Maggie as the redoubtable dowager countess.
Question Author
Never seen it advertised here, JD. Alec Guiness was the blind butler, yes. Anyway, I'm off...Cheers.
and I think BensonMum was played by Sir Alec Guiness before he got rich ( Lucas couldnt afford to pay him for thingey and so assigned him 1% of the profits from star wars )

I didnt emjoy it so much
