Hi ! I am trying to find some ancestors .....a beginner at this and I am
really stuck! Just seem to be going round in circles.
I know William Morfoot (born on 22 may 1729 in Boston, Lincs) married
Hannah Read (dob or place not known)
in Boston Lincs on 20 October 1748.
I think he had two sisters and two brothers...all born in Boston, Lincs:
Mary (22 Oct 1715)
Elizabeth (27 Oct 1720)
Thomas (20 Aug 1724)
Joseph (23 mar 1731 died 26 Feb 1732)
I think parents were John Morfoot and Elizth.
I cannot find any birth, baptism , marriage or death notices for either of them!!!
Any help /suggestions would be gratefully received as to where to go from here... thank you.

have you tried ancestry - the cheapest way to gain access is to buy a copy of Family Tree maker on Ebay maybe a 2012 copy which when installed gives you at least 3 months access to ancestry.

Like i said am just a beginner.....have been trawling my way through the "familysearch" website which is free.....have not felt confident enough to subscribe to the other sites... rather expensive too. I will look on Ebay. thank you :-)
Years ago I was given a pile of cds from a friend that contained data from all over the UK.

These databases were produced by Mormons/Jehovas (whoever is the latter day saints bunch)

So if you know any of these they may have access to thse cds.
Have you tried alternative spellings of the surname?

Ancestry may offer a freee trial - you may need to enter card eetails, but just remember to cancel in time!
I believe John Morfoot was actually baptised at Skirbeck 29 May 1700 son of William and Elizabeth.

thank you DJHawks......if this is so then he was only 15 years old when his first child was born!!! How do I find out who his wife Elizth was please?
The legal age for marriage at that time was 14 for boys and 12 for girls and it was common in rural communities for youngsters to marry at those ages,
