Itunes Wifi Sync

I have iTunes wifi sync set "on" on my iPad.

I just noticed today that it is telling me that "sync will resume when "Pavilion computer is available".

Well that ain't going to happen! I recently bought a new laptop so the Pavillion referred to is no longer switched on!

How can I let my iPad (and iPhone) that I have a new Windows 10 computer and would it please back up to the new model?

Have you set up iTunes up on the new lappie and logged into your apple account properly? Then authorized "this computer" in store menu?

If that is done go to iTunes help, add items to I Pod, iPhone, or iPad. Love my iTunes facility.

No I haven't set up iTunes on the new computer yet. I -hate- iTunes with a passion! What will I lose out on if I don't use it? The iPad and iPhone do periodic backups anyway! I think they're backed up to iCloud, so do I really need a back up to my computer as well?

I'd rather not pollute my new computer with the worst programme I've had the misfortune to ever come across if not necessary!

Well you have a good point! I am now wondering what a sync will actually get me since I don't really want to instal iTunes. Maybe I should start a new thread on whether iTunes is really necessary!

Two issues - have a look at copytrans - lets you manage your Itunes stuff without using Apple - and I`m sure if you dig around in your itunes settings you can dleted the old machine so its not looking and sulking because its not there.
