The one you are thinking of is possibly "It Sounds Like Bullsh*t To Me" by Phil Alexander which is basically about George.W & Tony and the WMD (or the lack of them).

What kind of song and from what era ? The only "Save Your Kisses For Me" i know was the welsh 1976 eurovision winners Brotherhood Of Man ?

There is a version it's not by a guy though but i think it sounds good all the same by natasha thomas save your kisses for me
