Can't Download Chrome

I have bought my mum a Lenovo Ideapad for her birthday due to problems with her ageing Dell. Microsoft Edge is the only installed browser but my mum is used to Chrome where she has bookmarks for ordering online shopping etc.
I have tried to download Chrome but it just seems to say it is downloading forever!
There is a free trial of McAfee with this PC and I am wondering if this has somehow been set to block the download of other browsers such as Chrome. Personally I have found that free trials lead to more problems than they are worth. I am using the fairly new TalkTalk F-Secure which seems excellent and my parents have TalkTalk as their broadband provider.
Should I uninstall the McAfee?

You do not need two security devices.I would uninstal one of them

I would uninstall it and all the other unwanted bloatware that is no doubt on the machine.

Thanks folks, I am going to uninstall the McAfee as I suspect it is conflicting with another security programme.

Thank you guys. I have uninstalled the McAfee free trial and got Chrome to download within seconds and even her bookmarks are all there! :D
