can you tell me what subscribe to an answer means and subscribe to a thread

I think it means that you will be notified by email when you receive an answer on your thread.

When I first joined I went to the FAQs, which is in red along the bottom of this page, and found a lot of information there.

When you subscribe to a thread, the AnswerBank, in theory e-mail you to tell you that a new answer has been given to that thread. It rarely works though. Well, at least it didn't used to. I don't use it anymore.

It's always worked for me Ace!

It can be a pain deleted them all, 'specially if I receive lots of answers & that I also receive lots of personal emails on a daily basis too!
