Mistaken identity

Daphne & Celeste are not the orginal artists to the song and lyrics of U.G.L.Y., I know this because I owned a rap tape in the late 80's, early 90's that had that song, clearly before these young ladies took the credit. What I can't remember is who was the original rap artist?

Nelly incorporated more of the chant in his "Batter Up" from 2001
U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi.
You ugly, yeah, yeah, you ugly.
M-A-M-A, how you think you got that way?
Yo' mama, yeah, yeah, yo' mama!
However Fishbone also used the line in their ska song "Ugly" released in 1985.
