Dacia Sandero Stepway
I keep seeing more and more of these cars about, every day. They seem very good value for money.
First of all....why "Stepway" ? It seems to mean nothing !
Also, are any of these owned by AB'ers, and what has your experience been so far ?

Not to burst your bubble, Mikey, but it could be the same few neighbours going about their day. I'd write down the registration numbers as a double check before making sweeping statements. ;-p
Anyway, Colt Starion, Kia C'eed, Toyota Camry, plenty of odd names out there.

Now she's calmed down she says she would only sit in one if one of these was an accessory

My wife had the first Sandero in our region. It was brilliant and s a result my son and his Mrs are leasing a Stepway each. All have been fault free and are great motorcars.
You wont go wrong with onee.
In Turkey and Morroco whewre I have been recently they are used as taxis, and in many other
countries too I gather. That says a lot.

As a fellow Skoda owner you are surely not a name snob. But I don't see why you should be so against Dacias as a brand. Skoda was that joke once but is not now.
I personally do not like Renaults but the Dacias being more simply constructed do the job well. They are comfortable and with the high suspension deal with speed humps without fuss or drama.
I speak from direct experience that for someone on a budget, these are good solid motors.

I've looked closely at the photo's and reviews, especially the owners reviews and they don't come out of those very well, which with them being owned by Renault (I have owned a Renault, but not for long) doesn't surprise me. To my mind they just don't have an appearance, or reputation of a vehicle I/we would want to own. Both the Skodas are solid reliable everyday performers with VAG Group finish, which as you know is good.
For highdays and holidays I admit I prefer to use the Beemer.
