My partner runs his business as a one-man limited company, of which he is sole director. He takes his director's salary once or twice a year, but there's no tax or NI liability as the amount is below the threshold. Does anyone know if he needs to print himself a pay slip for payments? Thanks in advance.......

On the basis that I have just seen my accountant and he hs not asked for anything like that and I have filled just filled in my p11 online, I am fairly sure that you don't nede to have a payslip.
Hi you can't be a one man limited company. A limited company consists of at least 2 people with the company having to be registered with companies house. Be it a sole trader or a limited company, anyones personal earnings for which you pay yourself has to be declared on a Tax Self Assessment form from Revenue & Customs. He only needs to keep a record of what he pays himself and put it on the form, the Tax people work out the Tax & NI for you if there is any to be paid.
