IE homepage restart

my homepage for IE has always been ntlworld.com but then i decided to make it blank and this saved me having to wait for loading times..now internet expolerer has reset my homepage and its now just a silly homepage, ive tried replacing it with google.com but everytime i restart my compture it resets back to c:windows\homepage.htm ive tried looking for the file but i cant find it, can anyone help?

i have my own startpage homepage too icecold; it launches and waits for my first choice, usually google. Why not just make another one stick it in a folder you don't use much and then go to options/change homepage browse for it and click. :-)

p.s. to make a homepage just open notepad and type say,
HTML
HEAD
TITLE
My Home Page
/TITLE
/HEAD
/BODY
/HTML
put a those brackets 'above your fullstop and comma keys' either side of each line above 'except the my homepage line' and save as 'mypage.html' instead of .txt and drag it into a folder.

xyzz i tried something similar except i didnt understand the brackets bit, it worked fine until i restart my computer and the homepage turned back, its becoming annoying :( archbishop lol at least yours works mine doesnt :S

Maybe you need to unlock the homepage entry in the registry. Not hard to do ... see http://www.timmonet.co.uk/html/sphijack.htm for some simple suggestions.
