I have a pal whose adult son is going to be doing voluntary service overseas soon and has asked if they would be entitled to the single person's discount whilst he is away. There is just the 2 of them living in the house. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

He probably will, if his son is not there. I have just had all this with some of mine turning 18, but still in full-time education. I just had to send proof to the council.
