Need to wipe pc and re-install XP!!!
Ok, i'm back... Different problem. Or maybe the root cause? Basically i have XP installed on SWAP D and DRIVE E. After defragging i have found out that all drives are infected (whole thing comes up blue)! So here's my best bet... Wipe all partitions of anything i installed and re-install XP fresh into DRIVE C only! I did'nt do this before as it did'nt offer me this drive. Anyway, does anyone have any idea how i can do this, on my own without spending money? I need a step by step unconfusing way.
Thanks

If you have a windows xp cd the simplest way to format your hard drive and reinstall windows xp at the same time is to do the following:
1. Insert your windows xp disc into the cd rom
2. When the splash screen appears, choose install windows and then select new installation advanced.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions step by step until you re asked to restart your computer.
4. Windows setup will automatically restart your computer and Windows setup will launch again when you restart.
5. You will be asked to select a partition on which to install is one u want to do a fat file partition
6. Choose full format this will delete all data on the drive.
7. Windows xp automatically installs after the drive is formatted.
8. Immediately after Windows installs you should plan on spending some time getting Windows up to date. That means a trip to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and downloading any updates patches and fixes to keep your windows installation current.
or do u meen system can not see the drive what it hard to tell.

If you follow yahoohelp's instructions it is step 5 where you remove the partitions.
The windows install will show you a window like this:
http://www.tweakhound.com/xp/installxp/install_6.gif
You need to use option D to delete all your partitions (C, D, E etc)
Your window will then look like this (this is from Windows 2000 install but it is the best I could find)
http://www.windowsreinstall.com/install/win2k/installw2k/pic4.gif
Note it says Unpartitioned Space at the bottom. This means all your partitions have gone.
You then use option C to create a partition. Make it the whole disk if you wish.
You then need to format it. Make it NTFS not FAT as yahoohelp says.
Once the format has finished then the Windows XP install will begin.
I found a few web sites that cover how to install XP.
Have a loook at this one
